Meeting of board of trustees is held regularly to look after the developmental work of the institution along with other trust activities.

ORGANIZATIONAL CHART AND PROCESS
C. U. Shah College of Pharmacy and Research is managed by Vardhman Bharti Trust, Wadhwan City . The following is the organizational chart and process of governance.

 

ORGANIZATION :
All the activities are supervised and regulated by the Local Board of Governors, The Vardhman Bharti Trust through the Secretaries. Every policy matter is decided in meeting of trust and its implements done by secretary of the trust. The decision of day to day development of institution and trust, implementation of policy work is done by the secretary.

Chairs the trust meetings; gives confirmation for the implementation of policy decisions and looks after all other activities of trust.  

Secretary
Look after day to day work of the society and college, implements work decided in the trust meetings and development of the trust and institution, observes academic and other allied activities to guide the principal on various matters. 

Principal

He works as an academic leader of faculty to achieve academic excellence. He is a bridge between institute and trust. He looks after every work in the institution. He is the key person for the development of the institution as per the policy of trust and implements the developmental plan of institute as decided by the trust. He does all the necessary planning and implementations necessary for academic, social and other excellence in the college.

 

 

INSTITUTIONAL GOVERNANCE :    Organization of C. U. Shah College of Pharmacy & Research, Wadhwan City is on the basis of channel, discipline, hard work, scientific approach and co-ordination. Principal is the Head of every activity. Principal implements and look after every academic work, development and research work by particular channel from trust to the peon of the college.

NATURE AND EXTENT OF INVOLVEMENT OF FACULTY AND STUDENTS IN ACADEMIC AFFAIRS/ IMPROVEMENTS

Faculty plays a key role in overall development being involved in teaching, student assessment and evaluations. They also assist in departmental administration regarding development of resources required as per academic aspects prescribed in syllabus. Faculty look after research work, extra curricular activities like organizing seminars/ workshops etc. Faculty keep themselves updated through research literature and reflect their knowledge in developing new skills and new practicals in laboratories. Students are encouraged to attend the regular classes, as well as given minor projects and assignments related to academic curriculum and allied to Pharmacy. Faculty is keen to assess any difficulties of students and take efforts to solve the same.

Visits to industries, research centers etc. are being arranged.

The platform is provided to the students & faculties of the college to interact with the dignitaries from various fields including reputed pharmacists, with a view to develop their personality to make them a more knowledgeable person.

MECHANISM / NORMS & PROCEDURE FOR DEMOCRATIC/ GOOD GOVERNANCE

Governing body which has been constructed as per norms of AICTE meets frequently to take review of progress of Institute, regarding building and infrastructural facilities and academic facilities.

For the good and smooth Governance of academic work in the institute, the timetable and time schedule for teaching work framed, implemented and supervised in accordance to the University curriculum. At regular interval internal exam, weekly exam for students are being arranged.

All the prescribed guidelines by University, AICTE, PCI are followed to make the academic calendar in constitution of all the faculties. One of senior faculty appointed as Academic In-charge, sees that the system works smoothly and does not cause academic loss to student.

STUDENT FEED BACK ON INSTITUTIONAL GOVERNANCE / FACULTY PERFORMANCE

Day-to-Day performance of students will be evaluated by faculties during various academic activities including test, sessional examinations, practicals etc. and accordingly more emphasis will be given on weak students. The feedback is from the students regarding the performance of faculties. Quiz competitions, Debate performances also provides a feedback regarding their improved knowledge. The practical skill in laboratories, maintenance of records/ Journals etc. can also be considered as student feed back. 

GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL MECHANISM FOR FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS

Mechanism for Grievance for Faculty/ Staff

Any kind of grievances by faculty is submitted to the board of governance through principal of college. Depending on the nature of grievances, the system is set in such a way that either immediate positive decision on a small matter can be taken. In other cases, meetings with staff in cordial & amicable way will be made to reach at solution.
